Abstract

A 65-year-old man had presented with bilateral symptomatic varicose veins, which were primary on the right and recurrent on the left, after previous stripping on the left side. On examination, a bulge was seen on the medial upper thigh (A) that was ∼4-cm long and 3-cm wide. The mass disappeared when the patient was lying down (B). The mass had all the hallmarks of a saphena varix, except it was too low and medial to be associated with the saphenofemoral junction.
