Abstract
Previous studies have shown no difference in outcomes of transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) performed under general anesthesia (GA) vs local/regional anesthesia (LRA). To date, no study has specifically compared the outcomes of TCAR with carotid endarterectomy (CEA) stratified by anesthetic type. The aim of this study was to identify the impact of anesthetic type on outcomes of TCAR vs CEA.
