Abstract

Abstract We investigated by anelastic spectroscopy uncatalysed NaAlH4 melt-infiltrated in carbon aerogel during the dehydrogenation process. In the as-prepared compound, the elastic energy loss monotonically decreases as temperature decreases. As soon as dehydrogenation starts, an anelastic peak appears and its height increases with the evolution of decomposition.
