Abstract

The development of tool technology in Ancient Egypt from 4000 BC to 300 BC is examined. The paper looks at the materials used to make tools, the tools which were made and their application in the areas of brick making, woodworking, stone working, agriculture, hunting, mummification, medicine, personal hygiene, leather and fabric working.
