Abstract

Familial multiple sclerosis is defined as multiple sclerosis cases occurring in at least two family members, and there is no data on the recurrence risk of familial multiple sclerosis in the Brazilian population, which is characterized by a high frequency of afrodescendants as a result of the miscegenation occurred between European settlers and African slaves.
