Abstract
The anatomy of the pectoralis major and minor muscles are important to any surgeon involved in chest wall and breast surgery. The anatomy of the pectoralis major and minor muscles is described as well as the vascular and nerve supply to the muscles. Poland syndrome is discussed with its variety of anomalies involving the pectoralis muscles. Other anomalies of the chest wall and the major and minor pectoral muscles that are not part of Poland’s syndrome are abstracted from the medical literature.
