Abstract
This species of bird distribution in Northern Libya AL-beda from Jebel Akhdar, scanty documentation exist on the neuroanatomy of this species of wild bird. So Morphological and histological study was conducted to examine the structure of prosencephalon (Cerebrum). five animals in the present study. Measurement of weight, length, width, height and volume of the intact cerebrum. from this study were observed to be The mean brain weight obtained for about 2.97g. The mean Cerebrum weight was 1.13 g. The mean Cerebrum length was 10.93mm, The mean Cerebrum width was observed to be 11.85mm, The mean Cerebrum height was 6.65mm, The mean Cerebrum volume was 0.78ml.The histological results revealed that the cerebral cortex constituted the gray matter which has six layers namely molecular layer, external granular layer, pyramidal or external pyramidal layer, internal granular layer, internal pyramidal layer and multiform layer.
