Abstract

The American Association of Anatomists, in cooperation with the American Association of Clinical Anatomists and the Human Anatomy & Physiology Society, is publishing a new journal, Anatomical Sciences Education. This new journal joins two other journals, Clinical Anatomy and The Anatomical Record that publish articles related to the anatomical sciences. Articulated in this editorial are the goals of each journal and the types of articles that each publish. Anatomical Sciences Education offers an international forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions, innovations, and research on topics related to education in the anatomical sciences. The journal publishes articles related to all levels of anatomical sciences education including undergraduate, allied health, medical (both allopathic and osteopathic), dental, graduate and postgraduate programs, and covers the major disciplines of the anatomical sciences including gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroscience.
