Abstract

AbstractAs the opening presentation of the ophthalmolgiacal anaesthesia course the thorough review of the anatomy of the orbit is discussed. It includes the bone structure, capsula of Tenon, the blood vessels and finally the nerves. With the knowledge of these the best method of anaesthesia of the different kinds of ophthalmological operations can be planned and applied. This way reducing the number of complications while improving patient satisfaction.
