Abstract

Objective: to analyze the influence of academic monitoring (AM) in Human Anatomy (HA) on the performance of Physiotherapy students. Methods: 44 students enrolled in the HA discipline participated in the study. 15 AM meetings were held before the evaluation. For data analysis, students were divided into a group without monitoring (WM, n = 15) and a monitoring group (M, n = 29). The comparison between groups was performed using the Student’s t test. Pearson’s r test was used to perform the correlation. The significance index was p <0.05. Results: as a result, the M group performed better when compared to the WM group, in addition, a positive correlation was found between the presence in AM and academic performance. Conclusion: it can be concluded that AM has a positive influence on the performance of Physiotherapy students in the discipline of HA.
