Abstract
Background: Anastomotic false aneurysm is rare in Nigeria although it is the commonest cause of false aneurysm presently in developed countries. Method: A case is presented and the aetiopathogenesis is reviewed. The treatment modalities are highlighted. Conclusion:With increasing vascular reconstructive procedures, this type of false aneurysm will become common in our environment. It is therefore pertinent that this lesion is readily recognized so that appropriate treatment is given. Key Words: Anastomotic false aneurysm, Nigeria , Prostheses, Suture.
