Abstract

We present the case of a 74-year-old patient diagnosed with exercised-induced anaphylaxis after meat consumption and alpha 1-3 galactose involvement. Food-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis represents about 5% of anaphylaxis [1]. In this case, the patient made an effort following a meal containing meat, then presented urticaria and respiratory discomfort. The skin tests were positives for pork and pork kidney. Anti-alpha 1-3 galactose IgE were strongly positive, involving this allergen. Eviction of meat before physical effort allowed any recurrence.
