Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of hotel industries in France during five years. The chosen companies are InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel, Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Group, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and AccorHotels. The analysis is applied on the sample of four company in France over the period between 2012 and 2016. This study is utilizing internal factors such as profitability ratio, liquidity ratio, leverage ratio, average collection period, index score, and BOD remuneration besides considering external factors which include GDP, inflation rate, unemployment rate and exchange rate to see the overall performance and their relationship for four chosen companies among five years. The study found that the companies need to concern more about liquidity risk and operational risk in order to enhance its performance.
