Analyzing the Potential for Foresty Carbon Sequestration Based on Internet Group Sampling

Abstract

This paper will study how to maximize carbon sequestration. Stratified random sampling and questionnaires are adopted through internet in the research. 150 representative farmers will be chosed according to the stratified random sampling and will be surveyed through questionnaires. The content of the questionnaires are mainly about farmers’ knowledge of the Carbon Sequestration Forest and its utilizaton. These questionnaires won’t only used on the spot, they will also be sent to farmers in the form of e-mail through internet. So the survey can be carried out online and the farmers can answer in time. Through the questionnaire survey it can be found that foresters don’t fully understand carbon sequestration and the Carbon Sequestration Forest dangerously can be used as fuelwood. Only by furtherly analysis can the impaction on the foresty carbon sequestration projects in Guangdong be found out. There are both natural and social factors which are affecting these projects. Having fouded out the factors, Guangdong may take many measures to maximize carbon sequestration by using internet.
