Analyzing the factors that will impact the supply chain of the COVID-19 vaccine: A structural equation modeling approach

Abstract

The vaccine helps in providing immunity against any disease to individuals. The pandemic has created mass destruction by taking many human lives. Lack of proper medicines and unavailability of the vaccine made the pandemic more dangerous. Many countries have launched the vaccine, but questions arise in its distribution and supply chain. Developing countries with a large population and lack of healthcare infrastructure made things more and more difficult. The objective of this research is to identify the factors that will impact the vaccine supply chain and the vaccine distribution for the COVID-19 vaccine. These five factors have been identified from the literature review. We have developed a structured questionnaire. The survey is carried out in the hospitals of India. The target populations are doctors, procurement officers, and store officers working in government hospitals.
