Abstract

This article describes a novel computer simulation technique to analyze social interaction among people in electronic mediated communication groups. TRURL: the simulator we developed utilizes agent-based approach, genetics-based computational methods, and real world grounded socio-metric measures. Therefore, it will give a new gear to navigate complex information and learning organizations. This article presents basic principles and mechanisms of TRURL, and discusses the results and contributions to social interaction studies.
