Abstract
The time domain modal analysis of a nonstationary random response of a linear, time-invariant, MDOF system subjected to evolutionary random excitations is illustrated through some well known examples. Based upon the time-dependent correlation function of the response, a partial spectrum is defined in order to reveal the mean cross power distribution of the response in frequency domain.
