Abstract

This research aims to measure and analyze the role of bank credit in the growth of some economic sectors in Iraq for the period (2004-2020) by determining the percentage of the impact of bank credit granted to some selected economic sectors (as an independent variable) on the growth of the GDP of those sectors and determining the type of relationship between them. The research, through the results of the assessment and using the E-views9 program, reached several conclusions, including the existence of a positive and significant impact of bank credit granted to some economic sectors on the GDP of those sectors in the short and long term. It is not financed from the general budget in particular, as well as the non-oil sectors of high relative importance in the formation of the gross domestic product, with the aim of developing and developing the Iraqi economy and achieving sustainable economic growth.
