Abstract

The reaction of thallium(III) with hydrazine sulphate has been studied. In solutions slightly acidified with sulphuric acid the reaction is rapid and quantitative; direct potentiometric titration of thallium(III) with hydraxine sulphate solutions is possible as well as the reverse titration. The electrode system Pt-C is recommended. Hydrazino sulphate may also be determined indirectly by oxidation with excess of thallium(III) which is then titrated compleximetrically.
