Abstract

Analyticity is used to determine the Borel space singularity structure of renormalisable field theories. For non-asymptotically free theories we find the usual renormalon structure whereas for asymptotically free theories there appear to be no singularities. The important role of the second coefficient of the β-function is emphasized.
