Abstract

Application studies on analytical toxicology in forensic science, conducted in our laboratories, are reviewed. They include new techniques of solid-phase extraction with Sep-Pak C 18 cartridges, headspace/solid-phase microextraction, gas chromatography (GC) with surface ionization detection and GC/mass spectrometry (MS) in the negative chemical ionization mode. The advantages and disadvantages of each technique are presented, and the prospect of new developments in this field is also discussed.
