Abstract
Taking into consideration the axial conduction of heat in both fluid and solid wall and the heat capacity of the solid wall, an exact analytical solution has been obtained for the unsteady conjugated forced convection heat transfer in a steady slug flow inside circular and parallel plate ducts. This analytical exact solution considers transients initiated by time-variations of inlet fluid temperature.
