Abstract

We study the solution of Proca equation for scalar potential. Proca equation is a relativistic wave equation for a massive spin-1 particle. Proca equation describe the imaginary mass of photons in electromagnetic waves. Vector fields are used to describe spin-1 mesons. The scalar potential was originally used to model strong nucleon-nucleon interactions. This work is limited to radial part of spherical coordinate system. Using the improved approximation scheme to deal with the centrifugal term, we solve approximately the Proca equation for scalar potential. The relativistic energy eigen-value and radial wave function equations are obtained.
