Abstract

The influence of Soret, Hall and Ion-slip effects on the steady, mixed convective heat and mass transfer on fully developed flow in an electrically conducting Newtonian fluid between vertical parallel plates is investigated. The nonlinear governing equations and their associated boundary conditions are initially cast into dimensionless form using similarity transformations and hence solved using Adomian decomposition method. The significance of magnetic parameter, Hall parameter, ion-slip parameter and Soret number on non-dimensional velocities, temperature and concentration profiles are analyzed graphically. Moreover, the numerical data for skin friction, heat and mass transfer rates are shown in tabular form.
