Abstract

Jost solution and Jost function have been exploited to express bound state energies and solutions for Hulthén potential. The derived eigenfunctions are further used to construct analytical expressions for different spectral observables under the screening effect of Hulthén potential. For different dipole transitions, absorption oscillator strength, transition probability, and ground state dipole polarizability are calculated for hydrogen atom with the variation of screening parameter and found in close agreement with available theoretical results.
