Abstract

In this article, we have considered the main aspects of developing a digital twin on the example of a round grinding operation. The analytical model of metal removal in the grinding process is the basis of the digital twin of the grinding process and takes into account the kinematics of the process, input parameters of the process, variable technological factors, and features of metal removal for various types of grinding. We also presented the main stages of developing an analytical model of metal removal using the example of round internal grinding with longitudinal feed. In the future, the digital twin of the round grinding operation can be used to optimize the processing process and to predict the reliability of the developed cycles and the quality of processing in unstable conditions of processing a batch of parts.
