Abstract

Abstract I shall construct a slippery-slope argument that begins with a logical truth and concludes with a logical falsehood. Since logical truths can be deleted from an argument without affecting its validity, this sorites argument has superfluous premises. Indeed, I shall contend that all but one of the links in the chain are dispensable.1&Suppose an instructor in sentence logic asks the class for a sample sentence so that she can display its logical form.
