Abstract
An analytic nonlinear model is proposed for analyzing the frequency response of digital circuits. Applying a Volterra series expansion method, we have developed analytic nonlinear Fourier transfer functions for a CMOS inverter. Comparison between our calculations and a SPICE simulation, its application to study the effects of device models on circuit performance, and its expansion in complex digital modules are discussed.
