Abstract

This paper evaluates the interference effect on the Ultra-wideband (UWB) devices with Detect and Avoid (DAA) function on the WiMAX system. For this, an analytic model based on the Monte-Carlo method is proposed and we simulate about some scenario using the model. The result shows that the DAA function of UWB device can reduce the interference probability and this probability depends on the cell radius and number of the UWB device having the DAA function. This analytic model could be used for assigning a frequency to new wireless system without an unacceptable interference impact from DAA devices.
