Abstract

The heat and mass transfer characteristics for an unsteady squeezing flow of nanofluid consisting gyrotactic microorganisms between parallel plates are investigated. The passively controlled nanofluid model given by Kunzetsov and Nield [1] is employed to model this problem. Using similarity transformations the governing partial differential equations are reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Homotopy analysis method (HAM) is applied to obtain the analytic series solution of the resulting equations. The optimal values of convergence control parameters are selected to obtain the convergent results and the error analysis is given to show the validity of gained homotopy series solution.
