Abstract

It is shown that the N=2 super Yang-Mills gauge theories written in the harmonic superspace can be entirely implemented on analytic superfields. The resemblance is emphasised which this approach has with the chiral one in N=1 super-symmetry. The whole geometry is described and contact is made with the pioneering work of Galperin et al. As a by-product, the star operation is obtained as an operator acting in the field space. Also, a proof of the gauge invariance of the Zupnik lagrangian is obtained.
