Abstract

The Sequential Quadratic Programming is applied to solve the problem of Analysis/Test correlation of structures with multiple configurations in this study. The proposed approaches are the extension of the conventional optimum design methods by considering the objective function and constraints from several configurations simultaneously. A general purpose program utilizing MSC/NASTRAN finite element analysis software for structural analysis was developed to implement the optimum design procedures. In order to improve the computational efficiency, the reduced order modal space method is applied for structural reanalysis and sensitivity calculation.
