Abstract

Urban green land is the one important aspect to indicate the Urban Modernization level. Urban stressed green land spectral features could be described by selected band ratios with image spectrometer, and these ratios including: NDVI, CARI, MTVI2, and so on. The imaging Fourier transform spectrometer (IFTS) HJY20-1-A onboard China small satellite ldquoHJ-1Ardquo will reflect urban green land distribution efficiently under large scale. As a new and challenging type of imaging spectrometer, comparing to grating image spectrometer, the spectral resolution in wavelength of recovered spectra by IFTS is special, so the impact of the resolution characteristic of HJY20-1-A on urban green land application should be considered. This paper analyzes the spectral resolution of HJY20-1-A firstly, and then the impact of the resolution characteristic on urban green land application was researched based on simulated data under different resolution. Finally, the relation between HJY20-1-A and the traditional grating image spectrometer was built up for equivalent calculation, and the formula between the typical vegetation indices of HJY20-1-A and Hyperion was built.
