Abstract
Although the structure of porous metal bearings is simple, they are widely used in the mechanical field. With the enterprise porous bearings for fan taken as the research object, tribological performance and leakage characteristics of the bearings are calculated and analyzed in this paper. According to the actual working conditions of the bearing, a mechanical model is established to solve the basic mechanical parameters. Based on the mathematical model about temperature change, the effect of different diametrical running clearance on the friction coefficient and temperature rise when the bearing reaches thermal equilibrium is analyzed. Finally, the effects of the bearing length, the diametrical running clearance, the bearing outside diameter and the bearing porosity on bearing leakage are quantitatively studied according to principle of thermal expansion. Theoretical results show that reasonable control of diametrical running clearance, bearing outside diameter and bearing porosity will conduce more to bearing lubrication and reduce the bearing leakage, thus the service life of porous bearings is prolonged.
