Abstract

Objective To explore the effect in improving mental toughness of nursing undergraduate students on Newman system model. Methods A total of 490 undergraduate nursing students were conducted nursing intervention on mental toughness in nursing college on Newman system model.All students was investigated with the Adolescent Mental Resilience Scale to measure the effect of this model on the level of mental toughness of undergraduate nursing students before and after nursing intervention 1 months, 2 months and 3 months. Results The score of mental toughness of 490 undergraduate nursing students were(97.69±13.49)and 2 months after the intervention, the scores of students' mental resilience were significantly higher than those of before the intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions The mental resilience of science undergraduates is at a moderate high level, and a series of measures based on the Newman system model have achieved good results in improving the mental resilience of nursing undergraduates.
