Abstract

The upstream end of Shagang Village levee engineering of Liuxi River is adjacent to the hot spring artificial lake dam. In this paper, one - dimensional and two - dimensional mathematical models of water flow near the levee engineering of Liuxi River are established and some empirical formulas are used. Through analysising synthetically the calculation results of the mathematical models and the empirical formulas, it is concluded that the construction of Shagang Village levee engineering of Liuxi river does not affect the normal discharge of the Artificial Lake dam during flood season. Thus It is not necessary to take special measures to reduce the impact of the levee engineering on the Artificial Lake dam.
