Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum antisperm antibody (AsAb) and infertility, and study the relationship between Ureaplasma Urealyticum (UU) and AsAb.Methods The serum AsAb of 2245 infertility patients were determined by using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and compared to the normal control. Microbiological culture method was used to detect the UU. Results The AsAb positive rate of infertility group was 24.94 % , significantly higher than 3.85% in the control group(P<0.05); The AsAb positive rate of female infertility group was 27.78 %, obviously higher than 13.13% of the male infertility group (P<0.05) .The positive rate of AsAb were 47.06% in infectivity group of UU, 4.70% in uninfectivity group of UU respectively. There was all significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). The infection of UU was positively correlated with AsAb for Pearson correlation test (r=0.355, P=0.022).Conclusion Antisperm antibody was closely related to infertility, The UU may be increase the production of AsAb. Key words: Infertility; Antisperm antibody; Ureaplasma Urealyticum
