Abstract
To analyze the polarization properties of reflected light by ground and the corresponding skylight polarization pattern, based on the model of Individual factor skylight polarization, We establish the polarization pattern model of ground reflection, and simulation the 3D skylight polarization pattern, analyses the influence law of the ground reflection and the atmospheric transmission attenuation on the skylight polarization pattern. The computer simulation results show that, Compared with open land and vegetation cover, water area and building surface has more effect over the degree of polarization. Atmospheric attenuation decreases the degree of polarization, but the polarization direction remains symmetric. It is revealed that the calculated results coincide with the experimental data. This work provides a theoretical method for establish the skylight polarization model.
