Abstract
Business process management (BPM) is a comprehensive management pattern to integrate various aspects of enterprise business. BPM technology has made some progress in theory and implementation aspects, but the results of theoretical research and application are far short of expectations in it. To study the present situation and the prospect of BPM, the basic characteristics of BPM were summarized, several major BPM standards were analyzed and BPM current problems were pointed out. Finally, BPM trends were given. It is shows that BPM will base on cloud computing platform and combine with new technologies such as Web2.0 in the future.
