Abstract

Modal analysis is very important for structural dynamics research. However, the simulation results have certain limitations and cannot be fully applied to engineering applications.Using LMS (LMS Test.lab) data analysis equipment, modal experiments were carried out on the pressure shell in air and water respectively. The natural frequency and damping ratio of each order mode of the pressure shell are calculated using the polyMAX(poly referene least square complex frequencydomain) algorithm. Comparing with the simulated data, the difference between the experimental state and the simulated state is obtained, and the variation rules of the underwater modal vibration frequency and damping ratio changing with the water depth are obtained. According to this conclusion, an effective reference for the simulation method is put forward.
