Abstract

The integration of radar communication is to solve the problem of the shortage of radio frequency and space resources on small mobile platforms and to achieve more functional functions on one platform. How to realize the organic combination of radar and communication, that is the design of integrated radar communication waveform, is particularly critical. This paper introduces the basic principles of Minimum Frequency Shift Keying Chirp (MSK-LFM) and Constant Envelope Orthogonal Frequency Division multiplexing (CE-OFDM) radar communication integration signal and analyzes the communication radar performance. The experimental results show that the bit error rate performance of CE-OFDM integration is lower than that of MSK-LFM integration signal. For the detection performance of weak target, simulations of Moving Target Detection (MTD), Axis Rotation Moving Target Detection (AR-MTD), Radon-Fourier Transform (RFT) by adopting MSK-LFM and CE-OFDM integrated signals are performed, respectively. The results show that CE-OFDM can detect targets at a lower signal-to-noise ratio and has the best performance in RFT algorithm.
