Abstract

Abstract A method of direct aqueous injection analysis of volatile trace sulfur compounds in waste or contaminated water is reported. The detection limits of H2S, COS, and several mercaptans range from several ng/mL to several tens of ng/mL. The method precision is approximately 10%. Contamination problems, standard curve preparation, injection volume and several problems related to the method development and sample analysis are also addressed in this paper.
