Abstract

= 125 ppm Veterinary drugs in food chain pose serious health risks such as antibiotic resistance. In order to ensure public health, national food safety authorities carry out risk assessment of registered drugs and establish Maximum Residue Limit or ban their use. Official control programs are backed by a network of laboratories which use mass spectrometry as a standard technique to identify and confirm the presence of drugs in food control samples. In this poster, exploration of an LC-MS/HRMS (Q-Orbitrap) instrumentation in the scope of routine analysis in an official control laboratory is shown.
