Abstract

The Navy Ship A is a warship owned by the Indonesian Navy with high-speed specifications so that it fits function as a fast boat as well as a patrol boat and combatant. One of the components that affect the speed is the ship's resistance. In this research, the author applies the Axe Bow on the Navy Ships A to reduce the ship's resistance so that its speed can increase. The results of the research by comparative analysis using the computational program MARIN DESPPC 1999 and the Maxsurf Resistance V8i software, the total resistance value of the Navy Ships bow type Axe Bow at a speed of 28 knots is 364.2 kN and the Conventional Bow type is 374.5 kN, the difference is 10, 3 kN is 2.75% smaller than the Conventional Bow type in the comparative analysis of the Maxsurf Resistance V8i software.
