Abstract

TOD stands for Transit-Oriented Development. It mixes land uses of residential housing, commercial, office, public space and others within the range of 400-800 meters around the transit stations, which are pedestrian-friendly. However, the pattern of the combination of the mixed land use does not stay the same. Under different built environments and urban development patterns, it will change accordingly. This paper is based on different types of land use; cluster analysis is performed on some typical cases of TOD communities' land use types, and the authors get different categories of TOD. Finally, through comparison and summary of these categories, this paper will give reasonable land use proportion values and built variables for each of these TOD categories.
