Abstract

A three-dimensional Euler code for Turbo. machinery flows on a Chimera grid , which is a combination of 0 grid and H grid ,is present here. This code is based on the Beam and Warming implicit algorithm for solution of the unsteady Euler equations and is modified from the HYDRA code, which has been developed by Dougherty and Kuan at the University of Colorado. Modifications made to convert this code from external flow to internal turbomachinery flows are necessary and described. These changes include the addition of inflow, outflow, and periodic boundary point calculation procedures. Finally, the computational transonic simulation not only have been favorably compared with Denton code, which is widely used around the world, hut also have better resolutions at the leading and trailing edges. ./
