Abstract

This study presents the analytical solutions of cross-ply laminated plates under thermo-mechanical loading based on higher order shear deformation theory. The effects of plate width-to-thickness ratio, thickness ratio, aspect ratio and boundary conditions on the displacement of laminated composite plates are presented. Program is developed in FORTRAN. The objective of this paper is to develop a model to employ the new shape function ψ(z) for laminated orthotropic composite plates under thermo-mechanical loading. The present solutions are compared with those obtained by other researchers. The results are in good agreement with solution of Reddy.
