Abstract

The thermal conductivity calculation model of nano insulating oil was studied. The thermal conductivity of Fe3O4 nano insulating oil with different particle size and surfactant thickness was measured by instantaneous hot wire method; the thermal conductivity of Fe3O4 nano insulating oil was calculated by Maxwell model, H&C model and Yu model, and it was found that the calculated values of several models were far less than the actual measured values; The factors such as nano particle size, surfactant thickness and nano adsorption layer were analyzed. For the influence of thermal conductivity, a calculation model of thermal conductivity of nano insulating oil is proposed. The results of the model were compared with the experimental data. The results show that the model can accurately describe the thermal conductivity of nano insulating oil.
