Analysis of the Structured Retail Products Market in Russia: Current Situation and Development Perspectives

Abstract

Growing interest in SP in Russia as well as the lack of the analysis of the Russian SP market were the main reasons the author selected this research topic. In order to gauge the potential applications of SP in Russia and their potential development in the domestic market, special attention is given to studying the experience of the leading European countries in the development of SP.The aim of this scientific paper is analysis of the structured products (SP) market globally paying special attention to European market and definition of the ways of development of this market in Russia.To achieve this goal, the author has set the following objectives:• consider different approaches to understanding of SP, analyze different classifications and propose ways of their improvement;• based on the study of foreign and Russian market experience, analyze existing forms and types of SP, including the analysis of the legal frameworks used in Russia with respect to SP;• analyze the current state of the SP market in Russia and EU;• assess the potential for its development in the future under different scenarios of development of the financial market.
