Abstract
The socio economic development of the region requires the mobilization and effective use of the necessary economic resources, in which labor resources occupy a leading position. The purpose of the study is to study the peculiarities of the formation of the labor resources of the region and the trends of their development in order to develop measures to improve the efficiency of their use. The article considers the characteristics of the labor resources of the Chechen Republic, calculates labor productivity. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the substantiation of the conditions that ensure the effective use of the labor resources of the region. As a result, it is revealed that in order to increase the efficiency of the use of labor resources, it is necessary to conduct an objective assessment and analysis of the needs of the regional economy in labor; to involve the able-bodied population in economic activities through labor market regulation; to change approaches to the management of labor resources at the regional level.
